Product description: Multiturn Hybrid Potentiometer HHI17/19
Robust and durable multiturn potentiometer for high shaft loads
The HHI17/19 series impresses with its exceptional robustness, which makes it particularly suitable for applications with high mechanical loads. Thanks to the reinforced bearing, it can handle radial shaft loads of up to 4 N. The high-performance polymer plain bearing ensures stability and durability even under demanding conditions.
The potentiometers have a wirewound resistor element that is coated with a conductive plastic layer. This eliminates the so-called winding jumps and the resolution is almost infinite. Due to the smooth surface of the resistor element, the hybrid potentiometer has a significantly longer service life and qualifies it as a position feedback sensor in bearing control loops.
The potentiometers HHI(R)17 with shaft Ø6.35 mm and HHI(R)19 with shaft Ø6.00 mm are equipped with a screwdriver slot to facilitate zero point adjustment. In addition, an optional built-in slipping clutch protects the potentiometer from being destroyed by travelling over the end stops. The potentiometer is available with 3, 5 or 10 turns. The radial, gold-plated connection pins are suitable for flat plugs (2.8 mm to DIN 46247 Part 3), and the plug version simplifies electrical installation. The shaft is equipped with a screwdriver slot for easy zero point alignment.
