The multiturn encoder MAB40APM allows a flexible and exact adjusting of the start and end point as well as the direction of the signal by the customer. The counter state of up to 200 turns is stored in a nonvolatile memory. During power off it is possible to turn the shaft ±179° without loss of the position value.
The MAB40APM is factory programmed to an electrically effective angle of rotation of 10 turns = 3600°. On request, other user-defined electrically effective rotation angles can be ordered as an option or programmed by the user himself. For quick, safe and easy programming of the MAB40APM by the user, MEGATRON recommends the optionally available MEGATRON Programmer.
The programmer is needed only once. It can be programmed with this any number of MAB40APM . The user-supported programming is also possible by creating an external circuit. This external circuit is described in the Programming Guide.
