The SPI18 linear transducers are used in industrial applications where a compact sensor with ball joints, long life, high accuracy and a front-guided push rod are required in measurement lengths from 25 to 200 mm.
In the SPI18 displacement sensor series, the mechanical detection of linear motion is achieved by means of a front-guided push rod. A ball joint is mounted on the push rod to prevent vertical or angular misalignment in the mechanical coupling. The compact and robust industrial aluminium design with a 18x18 mm profile allows a measuring stroke of up to 200 mm. The SPI18 sensor is available with connector or cable connection.
To ensure high accuracy and long life, the potentiometric measuring principle is realized with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistance element. As the potentiometric measuring principle provides absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences. Customization on the cable (length, connector version) or on the pushrod (length, thread, flat...) is available on request.
