Product description: Optical kit encoder SPFH
Very compact kit encoder for small shaft diameters
The SPFH is an ultra-compact optical incremental kit encoder that requires only minimal installation space. The push-on code disc is mounted directly on the customer’s shaft with a diameter of 1.5 mm or 2.0 mm, the base is fixed using two M1.6 screws on a 10 mm pitch circle, and the cover is simply snapped into place. With a diameter of 16 mm and a depth of only 9 mm, up to 4096 pulses per revolution can be achieved.
The signals are provided as digital square-wave signals (TTL, 5 V) via the A, B and Z lines. A and B are phase-shifted by 90° (direction of rotation), and Z supplies the index pulse per revolution. The cutoff frequency scales with the resolution (for example 200 kHz at 250/256 pulses or 1.85 MHz at 4000/4096 pulses) and enables high rotational speeds (up to 48,000 rpm, depending on resolution). Electrical connection is made via a radial 5-pin connector.
