Magnetostrictive linear transducer with very accurate measuring principle, flange connection, IP67

In the displacement sensor series IMS the mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a cursor ring, in which magnets are casted in sealing compound. For easy mechanically integration, the housing provides a flange construction with fitting gauge or thread. This flange construction is also suitable for hydraulic applications up to 350 bar (500 bar peak). In the IP67 sealed housing the magentostrictive sensor element and the electronic runtime measurement are integrated. The position evaluation of the magnetic cursor is transformed contactless into a linear analog signal 0,1..10,1 V or 4..20 mA. The magnetostrictive measurement principle is true power on with high sample rate up to 1 ms and delivers absolute values in high accuracy. A special feature of the magnetostrictive method is the great tolerance in vertical or horizontal direction of the free magnetic cursor. This permits applications with critical shock or vibration influences. The combination of very high accuracy with ±0,02% linearity, robust construction in IP 67 sealing and high lifetime because of the wearless measurement principle gives the magnetostrictive IMS series a high performance for linear motion measurement from 50 up to 4000 mm even in heavy duty applications.
