The 848 series fingertip joysticks provide professional-grade performance in an extremely compact fingertip format, making them particularly suitable for handheld control units, belly boxes, and compact operator panels where space is at a premium. Despite their small size, the 848 offers functionality typically associated with larger joystick families and is well suited for mobile machinery, material handling equipment, AGVs, and robotic systems. With appropriate handle options, the 848 integrates easily into compact enclosures, offering clear advantages in terms of reduced panel space, simplified system integration, and overall cost compared with larger joystick solutions. The availability of CAN communication further simplifies integration into modern vehicle and machine control architectures.
The 848 series joysticks are equipped with wear-free Hall effect sensors and are available with up to 2 axes, providing smooth and precise proportional control. In addition to analog and PWM outputs, CAN-based versions enable robust, noise-immune data transmission and reduced wiring complexity, making the 848 especially attractive for mobile and distributed control systems. The robust mechanical design is optimized for fingertip operation and ensures reliable performance in industrial and mobile environments subject to vibration and frequent use. The joystick offers a long operating life of up to 10 million operations and good resistance to EMI/RFI thanks to its contactless sensing technology. Redundant sensor options are available, making the 848 suitable for applications with increased functional safety requirements.
