Product description: Voltage to Current Converter VIC
The VIC is an extension for all MEGATRON products that have a 0 to 5V output. The converter is added to these products as a cable extension. Applications include sensors and joysticks for machines where the transmission of analogue output signals over long distances is best achieved by a 4 to 20 mA current loop output.
The converter accepts an input voltage of 12 to 24 VDC, provides a stable 5 V output for potentiometers or Hall sensors, and converts the sensor's 0 to 5 V outputs to 4 to 20 mA for up to 3 channels. For ease of use, the output is realised via a 5-pin Molex Microfit connector.
