Product description: Potentiometric Linear Transducer RC20

RC20 series displacement sensors are used in harsh environment applications requiring a robust linear transducer with long life, high accuracy and a guided push rod with measuring lengths from 10 to 300 mm.

The RC20 series linear potentiometers are designed for applications in harsh environments. For mechanical coupling, the displacement sensors are available in three mounting options: bracket, ball joint or flange. The ball joint version compensates for movement transverse to the pushrod, allowing non-linear movements to be coupled easily and without stress. The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a front guided push rod.
Potentiometric displacement measurement is provided by a high resolution conductive plastic resistive element. Due to its good linearity, the transducer has a very long life and high accuracy. As the potentiometric measuring principle provides absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
Customization on the cable (length, connector finish) or on the pushrod (length, thread, flat...) is available on request.
