The compact and robust CR18 series linear potentiometers are designed for industrial applications. The anodized aluminium housing is 18x18 mm, a standard industrial size. The transducer has a stainless steel ball in the probe tip, e.g. for scanning profiles or monitoring distances. The CR18 is available with both connector or cable connection, in stroke lengths from 10...100 mm. In the CR18 displacement sensor series, the mechanical detection of linear motion is achieved by a front and rear guided push rod.
Potentiometric displacement measurement is performed using a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The compact encoder has a very long life and high accuracy due to its good linearity. As the potentiometric measuring principle provides absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences. Customization on the cable (length, connector version) or on the pushrod (length, thread, flat...) is available on request.
