Product description: Shear Beam KT805
Force measurement up to 5 kN with analogue output
The KT805 series combines a robust steel measuring body with an integrated analogue amplifier, providing directly usable output signals of 0–10 V, ±10 V or 4–20 mA.
With a response time of less than 1 ms and a cut-off frequency of 1,600 Hz, the sensor is well suited for measurement tasks in automated production cycles.
A key feature of the design is the separation of mounting and force introduction. While the sensor is mounted to a rigid structure using two screws, the force is applied via an M8 threaded hole. This prevents mounting forces from entering the measurement and ensures precise and repeatable force application.
The KT805 can be used for tensile, compressive or combined (tension and compression) forces up to 5 kN. Each variant is supplied with a test report documenting the calibration to the selected rated force and force direction.
Thanks to its compact dimensions of 78 × 34 × 36 mm, the sensor can be easily integrated even where installation space is limited. Typical applications include joining and assembly processes, test benches and monitoring motion sequences in machines and systems.
Options
- Rated force: 2 kN or 5 kN
- Output signals: 0–10 V, ±10 V or 4–20 mA
- Force direction: tension, compression or tension and compression
For series production, additional customer-specific adaptations are possible, such as modified hole diameters for mounting and force introduction, or pre-assembled cables and connectors.
