Product description: Shear Beam KT705
Fast force measurement thanks to integrated electronics
The KT705 series combines an aluminium measuring body in bending beam design with integrated analogue amplifier electronics. This provides directly usable output signals of 0–10 V, ±10 V or 4–20 mA. Users can therefore connect the sensor directly to control systems without the need for an external amplifier.
With a response time of 650 µs and a cut-off frequency of up to 1,600 Hz, the KT705 is predestined for fast measurement tasks.
While the sensor is mounted to a rigid structure using two screws, the force is applied via an M5 threaded hole. This decouples mounting forces from the measurement and enables precise force application.
The force sensor with integrated electronics is available for tensile forces, compressive forces or for bidirectional measurement (tension and compression). Each variant is factory-tested and supplied with an individual test report confirming the accuracy of the measurement results for the selected rated force.
Thanks to its robust design and precise full-bridge strain gauge circuit, the KT705 delivers reliable results in a wide range of applications. Typical fields of use include joining and assembly processes in automation, as well as monitoring motion sequences in machines and equipment.
Options
- Rated force: 200 N, 500 N or 1 kN
- Output signals: 0–10 V, ±10 V, 4–20 mA
- Force direction: tension, compression or tension + compression (depending on signal variant)
For series production, additional customer-specific adaptations are possible, such as modified hole diameters for mounting and force introduction, as well as pre-assembled cables and connectors.
