Product description: S-beam force transducer KM1503
Uniform S-beam geometry for different nominal force ranges
The KM1503 series of force transducers are universally applicable S-beam force sensors based on a full-bridge strain gauge. Designed for tensile and compressive forces, they cover nominal forces of 1 kN, 2 kN, 5 kN and 10 kN. Force is applied via two opposing M12 female threads, allowing the sensor to be easily integrated into linear connecting elements.
An important feature is the consistent design across all nominal forces. This means that different types of machines or systems with different force requirements can be designed in a very similar way, because the sensor geometry and threaded connection remain identical. This reduces design effort and the number of variants required for mechanical integration.
The aluminium alloy measuring body, which has IP54 protection, is suitable for use in typical industrial applications, as well as in analysis or medical technology devices. The shielded connection cable (approximately 6 metres long) enables direct wiring to an external strain gauge amplifier and supports the transmission of low-interference signals. Compared to many commercially available S-beam sensors in this force range, the KM1503 provides a robust solution for nominal forces of up to 10 kN.
Options
- Rated loads: 1 kN, 2 kN, 5 kN, 10 kN
For series applications, it is possible to make customer-specific adaptations, such as customized cable lengths or pre-assembled cables with connectors. If required, mechanical details such as thread sizes can also be adjusted to meet project requirements.
