Product description: Inductive Linear Transducer RWC
The RWC series of linear sensors are LVDT´s that operate based on a non-contact inductive measurement principle. This design ensures a long lifespan and enables highly dynamic applications, especially where small oscillating movements need to be detected accurately, e.g. when determining the position of assemblies or components. Specially equipped with a robust cable connection, the RWC series offers a high degree of protection, IP 68, making it ideal for outdoor measurement applications, such as in bridge structures or in machinery, as well as in production facilities in paper, fabric and pharmaceutical industries.
With 3 different mechanical designs, the LVDT sensor versions can be easily and precisely adapted to your application. The RWCT with internal return spring acts as a probe. The RWCC with a guided push rod and PTFE bearing, provides the option of mounting ball joints at both ends. The version with loose push rod (RWCL) offers the possibility of attaching the push rod directly to an object in the application.
The RWC series LVDTs are AC powered and provide an AC voltage output that corresponding to the displacement of the core of the push rod. Combined with the MEGATRON IMA2 LVDT signal conditioner, the system delivers all common analogue outputs such as 0-10 V, 4-20 mA, etc.
