Product description: Load cell - pancake KMC130
Compact overall height and robust design for high forces
The KMC130 series force transducers are pancake load cells—also known as compression disks—for compressive forces up to 300 kN. They feature a large bearing surface to support uniform load distribution.
Depending on the rated force, two housing sizes are available: a more compact version with a 130 mm diameter for 50 kN and 100 kN, and a larger version with a 182 mm diameter for 200 kN and 300 kN. Force is introduced axially via the central through hole, for example by a bolt guided through the bore. Depending on the housing size, the bore diameter is Ø32 mm or Ø39 mm. A centering groove provides stable guidance of the bolt and enables a positive, axial force transmission.
The nickel-plated steel measuring element is corrosion-protected and equipped with a full Wheatstone strain gauge bridge. Despite the high rated forces, the overall height remains comparatively low at 61 mm or 86 mm, making integration into machines and systems easier. Linearity is ≤ 0.05%, hysteresis ≤ 0.03%, and repeatability ≤ 0.03% of full scale.
As standard, each KMC130 is supplied with a test report confirming the accuracy of the measurement results. With protection class IP66, it is reliably protected against dust and water jets. Typical applications include presses, test rigs, vehicle scales and large tank scales, as well as general industrial force measurement tasks in the medium to high force range.
Compared to many standard pancake load cells, the KMC130 stands out through its combination of high accuracy and robust construction.
