Very compact design with high overload tolerance
With dimensions of only 19 × 17.5 × 5 mm, the KM019 series is ideal for applications with limited installation space, such as in automation or robotics. Despite its small size, the sensor can withstand an overload of up to 1,000% of its rated force, making it extremely robust. It can be used to measure tensile and compressive forces.
Force is applied via two M3 or 4-40 UNC threads. Thanks to the strain gauge measuring principle in a Wheatstone full bridge, the sensor provides precise and reproducible results. Typical applications include measuring small forces in dosing, assembly and testing processes. In Applications with tensile force direction, the KM019 is also suitable for weighing applications, although it cannot be used for legal metrology purposes.
Compared to standard mini S-beams on the market, it impresses with its compact design and high permissible overload.
Options:
- Nominal force: 10 N, 20 N or 45 N
- Thread: M3 or 4-40 UNC
For series production, customer-specific adaptations are also possible, such as special thread sizes for force application, pre-assembled cables, or higher nominal forces in a stainless-steel design.
