The displacement sensors of series MSL38 are used in industrial applications, which require a robust linear transducer with long lifetime and high accuracy in lengths from 100 to 2000 mm.
In the displacement sensor series MSL38, the mechanical detection of the linear movement is done by a slider cursor. Due to the absence of the push rod, the displacement sensor can be integrated in a space-saving manner. To compensate vertical and horizontal offset, the cursor sled is designed with a link ball coupling. Due to the precise guidance of the cursor, high adjustment speeds can be permitted. The displacement sensor is mounted overhead with clamps. The robust aluminium housing design allows measuring distances of 100 mm to 2000 mm in industrial environments.
The potentiometric distance measurement is carried out with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The displacement encoder has a very long lifetime and high accuracy due to its good linearity. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
Customization on the electrical connection (finishing with plug) or on the cursor (thread, flat ...) are available on request.
