The HEM12 displacement sensors are used in hydraulic applications with max. 250 bar where a robust linear transducer with a high degree of protection, long life and high accuracy is required in lengths from 50 to 1000 mm.
The linear potentiometers of the HEM12 series are designed for hydraulic applications with operating pressures of max. 250 bar and peaks of 400 bar. The mechanical detection of the linear movement is done by a magnetic cursor. The design prevents the ingress of dirt or dust into the sensor element. This provides IP67 protection for harsh environments. For mechanical coupling, the displacement sensors are available with internal or external flange.
Potentiometric displacement measurement is performed using a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The encoder has a very long life and high accuracy due to its good linearity. As the potentiometric measuring principle provides absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
