The displacement sensors of series RC20IP67 are used in applications with very harsh environmental conditions, which require a robust linear transducer with high protection class, long lifetime, high accuracy and a guided push rod with measuring length lengths of 10 to 300 mm.
The linear potentiometers of the series RC20IP67 are designed for applications with harsh environmental conditions, such as occur frequently in mobile machines. For mechanical coupling the displacement sensors are available in two mounting versions: mounting brackets or ball joints. The variant with ball joints compensates movements transversely to the push rod, so that non-linear movements can also be coupled simply and without stress. The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a front guided push rod.
The potentiometric distance measurement is carried out with a high-resolution conductive plastic resistive element. The displacement encoder has a very long lifetime and high accuracy due to its good linearity. Since the potentiometric measuring principle delivers absolute values and requires no electronic conversion, the position feedback signal is true power on without delay, temperature stable and robust against EMC influences.
Customization on the cable (length, finishing with plug) or on the push rod (length, thread, flat ...) are available on request.
